Project Fishing Vessel: ‘Spes Nova’

The sustainable flyshooter ‘Spes Nova’ for Gebroeders De Boer from Ekofish Group, built by Maaskant Shipyards, will soon be ready for her sea-trial. DMC equipped the flyshooter with an Optima nozzle Ø3430 mm and a Commander™ Piston-type steering system.

‘Spes Nova’ is a new design, which deviates from designs of traditional fishing vessels. CO2 emissions and fuel consumption are significantly reduced thanks to its hybrid installation. The vessel can operate diesel-electric and fully-electric.
