Steering systems of Damen Marine Components

When Damen Marine Components (DMC) merged with Van der Velden Marine Systems, the companies joined forces, becoming an A-brand and market leader in marine and offshore  steering systems. From that moment onwards, innovation developments have certainly not quietened down. DMC now supplies a complete range of hydraulic steering systems up to a torque of 1,600 kNm, regardless of the ship type.

A steering system for every type of vessel
Our asymmetric steering systems come in sets of two or four rudders and can be expanded up to eight rudders. This system is suitable for every type of vessel and is especially popular in the inland shipping market. In addition, Damen Marine Components also designs and produces customised steering systems – again, for any ship type.
