Damen Marine Components (DMC) proudly delivered the manoeuvring system for the estuary tanker ‘Aimee’.

DMC equipped the Aimee with a Van der Velden® SP2700 control system, 2DWK steering system and two BARKE® high-lift flap rudders. This vessel was built by VEKA Group for Burando Maritime Services.

The BARKE® rudder provides a premium manoeuvrability and course-keeping performance. DMC manufactures flap rudders for a wide range of vessels, which is unique in the Netherlands.
