As Shoalbuster Brutus (35 x 14m) is getting ready for its commissioning, Damen Marine Components supplied an extensive product package for this vessel, including rudders, steering gear with custom-built hydraulics, nozzles, controls and hydraulic power for deck equipment. All components were designed and produced according Dynamic Positioning (DP 2) class requirements. This vessel is built for Herman Senior B.V. and outfitted at Damen Shipyards Hardinxveld.

Brutus is the first DP 2 Shoalbuster ever to be built. This one-of-a-kind vessel is equipped with a Hybrid propulsion and IMO Tier III compliant system. Moreover, this <500GT Shoalbuster is characterised by its shallow water design with a maximum draft of 2,80m combined with 60t bollard pull.
