Towing bitts
SUITABLE FOR THE MOST DEMANDING ENVIRONMENTS
Our towing bitts are mainly used on tugboats. Whether for off-shore or harbour tugboats, strong and reliable guidance of the tow rope is crucial for safe handling of the tow. Our bitts are developed as a strong and affordable alternative to the conventional cast versions. They are produced using a unique process that makes them suitable for the most demanding environments.

ADVANTAGES
Summary
- EXTREMELY ROBUST AND RELIABLE
The bitts of Damen Marine Components are simple but very efficient and particularly low-maintenance. This is due to the use of stainless steel lining and high-quality connections. These ensure that the construction can withstand enormous forces in the most extreme conditions. - LONGER SERVICE LIFE THANKS TO SUPERIOR GUIDANCE
The hardened stainless steel lining enables us to grind them to an unparalleled smoothness. This treatment ensures that the towing bitt and the tow rope are more resistant to wear and corrosion. This significantly extends the service life, which means a lower ‘cost-of-ownership’. - PROVEN QUALITY
We produce exclusively with certified materials. These are pre-classified by Bureau Veritas to demonstrate compliance. Once completed, the towing bitts are again classified by Bureau Veritas on site. This way you can be sure that the quality is guaranteed. If desired, classification by L.R. / CCS / ABS or DNV-GL is also possible. - AFFORDABLE AND AVAILABLE FROM STOCK
DMC towing bitts are produced in our own factory. Our certified welders manufacture them using a unique standardised mold. This ensures that our bitts have a constant quality. The relatively short production time enables us to produce bitts from stock. This makes them affordable and directly available.
