XR Rudder

The XR rudder has been especially developed to deliver optimal propulsion efficiency in combination with first-class manoeuvring characteristics which come from rudder angles up to 80 degrees. The rudder has also been designed to be cost and fuel efficient. The rudder trunk is eco-friendly and requires minimal maintenance. XR rudders are optimally positioned in the propeller slipstream. This maximises the vessel speed while reducing vibrations and noise. The rudder profile has been developed to be low resistance which reduces fuel consumption. DMC advises: To further optimise the propulsion performance, the complete Flex Tunnel package should be considered. This includes the XR rudders, the XR Hydro spoiler and the Flex Tunnels.
