DMC’s Shark Jaws are remotely controlled chain and wire stoppers designed to securely hold and release chain sections on deck while load wires run over the stern roller. They ensure safe and efficient handling without requiring deck personnel, significantly reducing risks during anchor handling and towing operations.

DMC Shark Jaws have been designed as part of the DMC Towing Winch portfolio and can be seamlessly integrated. Hence, we can also provide the necessary controls and hydraulics, ensuring a fully integrated system that optimizes safety and efficiency. Because these Shark Jaws are designed as compact ‘box’ units, they are easy to install in both newbuilds and retrofits.
Towing pins & shark jaws: the perfect combination
DMC Shark Jaws are often combined with DMC Towing Pins (with or without chain stoppers), providing a complete towing safety system. Note that we have turnkey solutions – and many on stock – for small to medium-sized vessels up to 100T Safe Working Load.
